Man charged after Cow Bay stabbing

The Integrated RCMP/HRP Criminal Investigation Division has charged a 35-year-old man from Halifax following a report of a stabbing in Cow Bay.

At approximately 5:20 p.m. on May 30, Halifax District RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing on Cow Bay Rd. Upon police arrival, they found the victim, a 31-year-old man from Dartmouth, outside a residence with a stab wound to his arm. The victim was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured in the incident.

A short time later, RCMP located the suspect in the woods nearby and he was arrested without incident.

Eric Roger Latham is charge with Aggravated Assault. Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. Latham was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court later today.

The investigation is ongoing and is led by the Integrated RCMP/HRP Criminal Investigation Division.
