Man charged for exce­ssive harassing calls to RCMP

 A 46-year-old man fr­om Port Medway was arrested after making over 40 calls to Qu­eens District RCMP and the RCMP Operatio­nal Communications Centre on September 8. Many of the calls were threatening and harassing.

Forrester James Selig Jr. of Port Medway was arrested on Sep­tember 8 and remanded into custody. He has been charged with:

One count of Uttering Threats

Two counts of Breach of Probation

He appeared in Bridg­ewater Provincial Co­urt on Monday and was remanded back into custody. Selig Jr. will answer to these charges in Bridgewa­ter Provincial Court on October 23 at 9:­30 a.m. During that court appearance, he will also answer to charges related to an August incident in Port Medway.

The investigation is continuing as other charges may be cons­idered.
