Man charged for failing to yield to pedestrian

On August 20, Halifax District RCMP charged a man following a vehicle-pedestrian collision in Lower Sackville.

Just after 5 p.m. on August 20, Halifax District RCMP responded to the intersection of Beaver Bank Rd. and Glendale Dr.​ for a collision involving a car and a 13-year-old youth.​ The youth was attempting to cross Beaver Bank Rd. at the intersection when the male driver of the car, who was turning left onto Beaver Bank Rd., struck him.

The youth was transported to hospital via EHS with non-life threatening injuries. The driver, a 34-year-old man from Lower Sackville, was not injured. He was charged with Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian.

Halifax District RCMP are investigating a report of shots fired in North Preston.
