Man charged in break and enter

Halifax Regional Police has charged a man for a break and enter that occurred last night in Dartmouth.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. police received a report of a break and enter in-progress at a residence under construction in the 200 block of Nadia Drive in Dartmouth. A man had forced open a window and was still inside the residence when Patrol members and a K9 unit arrived on scene. Officers located the man hiding in the attic of the residence and arrested him without incident.

Robert Frank Jeffries, 53, of Dartmouth, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of break and enter and possession of break tools.
