Man Charged in Domestic-Related Disturbance


A man faces charges in connection with a domestic-related disturbance in Fairview on Thursday.
Police responded to a report of a person being stabbed in
the 100 block of Main Avenue. A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital
with a stab wound and a 53-year-old man was taken to hospital for
treatment of injuries consistent with a physical assault. Their injuries
are not believed to be life-threatening. Police allege the younger man
was assaulting the older man when a third man intervened resulting in
the younger man being stabbed. All three men are known to one another.
As a result of the investigation by the HRP/RCMP Integrated General
Investigation Section, the 31-year-old Halifax man is scheduled to
appear in Halifax Provincial Court to face charges of assault causing
bodily harm.
