Meteghan RCMP charged a Digby County man for Disobeying an Order of the Court in relation to activity on the water on October 23, on St. Marys Bay Saulnierville.
On October 23, police received a report from earlier that day of a vessel steaming toward another vessel that had to maneuver to avoid a potential collision. On Friday, November 27, RCMP charged 42-year-old, Dale Richard Wagner of Digby County with Disobeying an Order of the Court in relation to the Interim Injunction filed by the Sipekne’katik Band and Council dated Oct. 20 by the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia.
He is scheduled to appear in Digby Provincial Court February 15, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
The Nova Scotia RCMP will continue to take steps to ensure that those who unlawfully interfere with or threaten the safety of any person or property may be held accountable in accordance with the laws of Canada.
