A Halifax man faces a charge of possessing child pornography as a result of an investigation conducted by members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE).
At 6 a.m. today, officers assigned to the ICE Unit, assisted by officers from the HRP/RCMP Integrated Vice Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Hunter Street in Halifax. The suspect was arrested at the scene without incident. The subsequent search resulted in the seizure of computer equipment.
Sixty-two-year-old Leroy Butler of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court on February 14, 2011 to answer to the charge.
