RCMP release:

East Hants District RCMP has charged a man after a string of break-ins occurred in an industrial park in Elmsdale.

On September 13, 2023, East Hants District RCMP responded to a report of a break-in at a business in an industrial park on Enterprise Way in Elmsdale. Through the course of the investigation, RCMP officers learned that seven businesses in total had been broken into in the early morning hours of September 13. During the break-ins tools, cash and alcohol were stolen. A suspect was identified early on in the investigation and RCMP officers learned that the suspect had been arrested for unrelated matters in the Halifax area.

Wayne Jesse Truen, 33, of Halifax, has been charged with Break and Enter and Commit (5 counts) and Break and Enter with Intent (2 counts). Truen will appear in Halifax Provincial Court later today.
