(Photo) Man cut with knife after incident in Downtown Halifax

Halifax Regional Police is investigating an assault that occurred in Halifax earlier this month and is releasing a photo of the suspect.

On July 8 at approximately 2:45 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault that had occurred a short time earlier in the area of Sackville and Market streets. An altercation occurred between two groups of people who were not known to each other. A man from one group cut a man from the other group with a knife and then fled the area on foot. EHS treated the victim at the scene.

The suspect is described as a white man in his thirties, approximately 5’10” tall, medium build, brown/blonde hair with a receding hairline, full beard, wearing a black and gold floral shirt and gray shorts.
