Man dies after being struck by tree, Upper Falmouth, N.S.

A 57-year-old Ellershouse man has died after he was struck by a tree he was cutting down at a work site on Castle Frederick Rd. At approximately 7:15 a.m.

A 57-year-old Ellershouse man has died after he was struck by a tree he was cutting down at a work site on Castle Frederick Rd.

At approximately 7:15 a.m.

this morning, Hants County District RCMP were called to a sudden death in a wooded area. Preliminary investigation determined that the victim, who worked on a farm, died at the scene when he was struck by a tree. The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of the next-of-kin.

RCMP does not suspect foul play. The Department of Labour and Advanced Education is assisting with the investigation.
