Man dies from injuries sustained in collision with power poles

RCMP release:

On December 2, at approximately 8:25 p.m., Kings District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 1 in Berwick.

Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP officers learned that a Volkswagen Rabbit had gone off the road, striking three power poles.

The driver and sole occupant of the Volkswagen, a 33-year-old local man, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash and the investigation is ongoing.

Hwy. 1, near the intersection of Windermere Rd., was closed for several hours; it has since reopened.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones at this difficult time.
