Man dies in single vehicle crash, Colchester County, N.S.

At approximately 7:39 p.m. this evening Colchester District RCMP were called to a single vehicle crash on Highway 311 near the community of Balfron.

EHS, Tatamagouche Fire Department and the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal assisted the RCMP at the crash scene.

The driver/sole occupant of the vehicle, a 60-year-old Colchester County man, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Colchester District members are being assisted by RCMP Police Dog Service, Traffic Services and the RCMP Crash Analyst in the investigation into the cause of the crash.

Hwy 311 is expected to be closed for several hours with traffic re-routed via the South Tatamagouche Rd.
