Charges are pending against a Trenton man after a search in the town of Trenton.

Yesterday at approximately 5:00 p.m., the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), along with the assistance of the New Glasgow Regional Police, executed a search warrant at a residence on Bruce Road.

A 46-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident. As a result of the search, police seized a quantity of prescription pills.

The accused, who is facing charges of Possession and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, was released on an Undertaking with a Promise to Appear in Pictou Provincial court on July 28th, 2014. The investigation is continuing.
