Man Faces Charges Stemming From Chebucto Rd. Robbery

At 9:54 last night, HRP officers responded to a robbery call in the 6000 Block of Chebucto Road. A 28 year old male had entered the store, demanded cigarettes and, threatened to assault the clerk.
The suspect left the store with the cigarettes and was then apprehended one block away without incident. The male will appear in Halifax Court this morning to face charges of robbery, theft and, probation violations. There were no weapons involved and no reported injuries.
