A man will face a charge of impaired driving after a motor vehicle collision today in Halifax.
At 1:11 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 3700 block of Robie Street involving a truck that had struck an unoccupied vehicle and then a tree. The 52-year-old driver was taken into police custody and is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face an impaired driving charge.
HRM Partners in Policing are committed to continuing the fight against impaired driving. On average, our officers charge 38 people with impaired driving each month. In the last year, we’ve charged over 450 people for driving while under the influence.
