Man faces theft and possession charges after stolen van, trailer found

Kings District RCMP have charged a man with theft-related offences after recovering a stolen van and travel trailer in Harmony. 

On April 28, officers executed a search warrant at a property in the 1400 block of Harmony Rd. after learning that a van reported stolen on April 25 had been seen there.  While recovering the van, officers also located a travel trailer that had been reported stolen on April 25 from Brooklyn St., in North Kingston. 

Travis Darrell Seyforth, 38, of Harmony, was arrested and charged with:

  • Theft Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Driving While Prohibited

The investigation revealed that Seyforth used his Toyota Tacoma to haul the travel trailer at the time of the theft.   The Toyota was seized as offence-related property. 

Seyforth appeared in Kentville Provincial Court on April 28 and was released on conditions.  He’s scheduled to appear in court again on May 15.
