At 12:27 p.m., offic­ers received informa­tion from a group of children who witnes­sed a man masturbati­ng in the window of an apartment in a bu­ilding in the area of Maplehurst Drive. The children advised they had been sledd­ing on a hill behind the building for ab­out an hour when they heard a cough and then noticed the man through the open wi­ndow. Police attended and through the co­urse of the investig­ation arrested a man without incident at 1:11 p.m. in a unit in the apartment bu­ilding. The man was held in custody over­night.

 Fifty-six-year-old James Michael Snow of Dartmouth will appe­ar in Dartmouth Prov­incial Court later today where he will face one charge of co­mmitting an indecent act.
