A Cape Breton man faces intimidation and threats charges following an incident that occurred earlier this week.
On the evening of February 8, a man, who is a Halifax-based lawyer, contacted Halifax Regional Police after he received a threatening email from a man whom he knows through previous court proceedings.
Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Criminal Investigation Division determined the suspect was in Cape Breton and contacted Cape Breton Regional Police Service who arrested the suspect in Sydney yesterday morning. Thirty-five-year-old Adam Joseph Roger Cormier of St. Peter’s was transported to Halifax today and was scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court this afternoon to face charges of intimidation, intimidation of a justice participant, uttering threats and breach of recognizance.
