At approximately 6:15 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a call of an injured male outside of an apartment in the 100 block of Pinecrest Dr. Police located an unconscious male on the ground.
EHS responded and the 35 year old male was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police spoke with witnesses at the scene and in the area, all of whom stated that the male victim was assaulted by a group of 5 to 7 males. Descriptions of this group were somewhat vague other than they were all males, young looking and they all had hoodies on. Members of the Forensic Identification Section as well as the HRM Integrated General Investigative Section attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
