Man found unresponsive after Argyle Street assault

Police are investigating an aggravated assault that occurred this morning in Halifax.

At 3:54 a.m., police received a report of a disturbance that had occurred outside an establishment in the 1600 block of Argyle Street. Officers located an unresponsive man on the sidewalk in front of the establishment. The victim was transported to hospital with what is believed to be life-threatening injuries.

Members from the Special Investigations Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continue to investigate the case and are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area, who has not already spoken with police, to call 902-490-5020
