HRP release:
Police are investigating after a man was found suffering from gunshot wounds in Halifax this morning.
At approximately 9:55 a.m., police were called to Lower Flynn Park, an HRM designated location for those experiencing homelessness who shelter outside. A 30-year old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is in the early stages but police do not believe the shooting was random.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information or video from the area to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or by using the P3 Tips app.
