Man hit with stick, flees

Police are looking for several suspects after an assault last night.

9:30pm 2502 Brunswick St, George Dixon Center, Halifax

The 24 year old male victim was walking from Brunswick St to Gottingen St on the path by the George Dixon Center. A group of 10 males and females approached the victim. One of the males struck the victim in the chin with a stick. The victim ran up to Gottingen St and phoned the police from a business. The area was checked for suspects with negative results. The victim was taken to hospital and will require stitches for a cut on his chin.
The file is still under investigation.
