Man Hits Two Others With Baseball Bat

At approx. 2:45 pm – a HRP officer on patrol in the 0 – 100 Block of Gaston Rd. in Dartmouth observed a physical disturbance involving several male parties. 
The officer pulled over to intervene in the matter when he observed one of the subjects armed with a baseball bat strike two of the other combatants involved. This party then fled to a nearby address. The officer assessed the injured at the scene, then proceeded to the residence that the suspect had fled into and subsequently arrested a 27 year old male Dartmouth resident without incident. The accused will be charged with assault with a weapon and has been remanded pending his appearance in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday morning. The two individuals who had been assaulted were treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
