Man hospitalized after stabbing outside home

RCMP release: 

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has charged a man following an assault in Lower Sackville.

Yesterday, at approximately 1:25 p.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of a man who had been stabbed by a man he knew while outside a home on Seawood Ave. Investigators learned that the man involved then fled the area on foot.

At the scene, RCMP officers immediately provided first aid to the victim. The 54-year-old Dartmouth man suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS.

A search was conducted, with assistance from Halifax Regional Police Dog Services, and at approximately 2 p.m., a 20-year-old Lower Sackville man was located and safely arrested.

Jaymyron Flint has been charged with:

  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Mischief

Flint was held in custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial court today.
