Man in custody after two bodies found in house fire, Meaghers Grant, N.S.

Police have one man in custody after a suspicious house fire on the Old Guysborough Rd. near Dollar Lake Provincial Park and Wyse's Corner. Halifax District RCMP were contacted by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Service after they responded to a house fire just before 5 p.m.

Police have one man in custody after a suspicious house fire on the Old Guysborough Rd. near Dollar Lake Provincial Park and Wyse’s Corner.

Halifax District RCMP were contacted by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Service after they responded to a house fire just before 5 p.m.

and found more than one body inside the residence. At this time police are working to determine the number of persons who may have been in the home when the fire started.

The Integrated Major Crimes Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division is leading the investigation. Tonight at approximately 12:45 a.m. an adult male was arrested after he rammed two police vehicles with his car in the Milford area. None of the officer’s sustained injuries. The man is in custody and is being questioned by investigators.

Police will remain on scene overnight. As a result, residents will notice an increased presence of police officers and vehicles.
