At 421 am members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Queen Street and Morris Street.
Officers located a victim who had been assaulted by several parties, the 28 year old male was transported to the QE2 with serious head injuries. He is presently in the ICU in serious condition . Three males all in their early 20s were arrested near the scene and are presently in custody. Members of the integrated Major Crime and General Investigation sections are continuing the investigation.
As a result of the ongoing investigation 23 year old Shacawn Clayton of Halifax has been charged with attempted murder and will be appearing in Halifax Provincial Court on September 23rd, 2013.
