Man injured in workplace incident, West Gore, N.S.

East Hants District RCMP responded to a workplace incident earlier today.

At 7:27 a.m. officers from the Rawdon Detachment responded to a call at a petroleum business on Valley Rd in West Gore where a 52 year-old man had been injured when a free standing compressor fell on top of him.

The man and another person at the business were in the process of moving the compressor at the time of the incident.

The man was transported by EHS to Hants Community hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The Department of Labour and Advanced Education are currently on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
