Some tense moments in the Purcell's Cove area on Friday night.
At 11:49 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a residence on the 400 Block of Purcell's Cove Road, Halifax, regarding a firearms complaint, a rifle was pointed by occupants of the residence . Upon police arrival the adult male inside the residence was not cooperative and would not exit the building. HRP Emergency Response Members, an Incident Commander and negotiator attended the scene and early this morning a male and adult female exited the building without incident. These parties have been questioned regarding this matter and they have been released from police custody, the investigation is ongoing. This does not appear to be a random act, parties involved are known to each other.
