Man pushing stolen snowblower arrested on Portland St

From HRPD:

While on routine patrol, just prior to 11PM last evening a HRP member observed a male pushing a show blower down Portland Street.

He turned around his cruiser to check on this male but he fled the area.  Police were able to locate the suspect a short distance away.  When police began questioning him he assaulted one of the officers and was taken into police custody.  Police were able to locate the shed where the snow blower was stolen from and found a bike outside this shed which did not belong to the home owner.  Further investigation showed that this bike was stolen from another shed.  The accused was charged with two counts of break and enter and assault police.  He is being held for court in Dartmouth in the morning.  The officer was not injured.
