Man rams police car, gets tazed

On December 24th at 7:00 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a call of a male entering parked cars in the underground parkade at 3020 Monaghan Lane in Halifax.  
Upon arriving the suspect adult male had started a car and was driving in the parkade. One of our officers attempted to have the male stop but he would not. 

He twice rammed the marked police car also striking the wall in the parkade.  
A CEW was used to bring the accused into custody. 

An adult male is facing multiple charges including Break and Enter, theft of motor vehicle as well as assault with a weapon. Neither the officer nor the accused were injured.


The accused will appear in Halifax provincial court on Tuesday December 29, 2020.
