Police are investigating a robbery that occurred earlier this morning in Halifax.

At 5:30 a.m., a 52-year-old man was walking across the Halifax Commons between Robie Street and North Park Street when he was approached from behind by two men. They didn’t say anything to the victim and punched him several times before taking his wallet. The suspects left on foot with the victim’s wallet and were last seen running towards North Park Street. The victim was not injured and reported the incident to police when he got home.
 
The suspects are both described as white men in their twenties; one was wearing jeans and the other a red hoodie and shorts.
