Man robs bank, clothing store at Mic Mac Mall

Police have charged a man for two Robberies that occurred in Dartmouth this afternoon.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Bank Of Montreal located at 21 MicMac Blvd.   

A man entered the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding cash.  No weapon was seen and the man left empty-handed and fled on foot.   At approximately 2:19 p.m. police responded to another report of a robbery that had occurred at the Lids store also located at 21 MicMac Blvd.   

A man matching the same description entered the store and indicated he had a weapon and produced a can of sensory irritant.   The man then accessed the till and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and was apprehended by police shortly after. 


No staff members or members of the public where injured during either incident. The 40 year old man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date to face 2 charges of robbery as well as additional charges.
