Man robs Wendy’s and Tim’s in Burnside

At 7:25 p.m., on the 10th of October, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of two robberies at Wendy’s and Tim Horton’s, 106 Ilsley Avenue, Dartmouth.  Multiple 911 callers reported a male with a knife and wearing a mask entered and demanded money from both businesses.  The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.  No one involved was injured. 

Multiple patrol units and two Police Service Dogs responded.  Officers located a male near Wright Avenue matching the suspect description of the suspect and arrested the male without incident.  Moments later a Police Service tracked to the arrest location. 

The suspect, a 24-year-old male from Halifax is held for court and will be facing charges of Robbery x2, Weapon possession for dangerous purpose and Disguise with Intent.
