On 20100914 @ 1933 hours the HRP responded to a weapons complaint. Information was received that a male was in the parking lot of a business in the 0-100 block of Highfield Park Drive when he was approached by a  male who asked if he wanted to buy drugs. When the male indicated no the suspect displayed the handle of a concealed gun in the pouch of his hooded sweatshirt and suggested he should. At that time a vehicle entered the parking lot and the suspect met with the driver. The spouse of the male exited the business and  the suspect entered the vehicle and left the area. The victim contacted police and the matter is still under investigation.

On 20100914 @ 2100 hours the HRP responded to a weapons complaint in the 2400 Block of Gottingen Street near Sunrise Walk. Information was received that a male had been shot. Police attended the scene and located a male lying on the street that had been shot in the leg. The victim, a Halifax man in his early 20's  was transported to the QE2 hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Integrated CID, FIS and K9 attended scene. Matter still under investigation with no arrests made at this time.
