Life-threatening injuries after stabbing at hotel

Halifax Regional Police are currently probing an early morning weapon assault in Dartmouth.

Police were called to the Lake City Motel at 40 Lake Crest Drive in Dartmouth at about 3:05 a.m. following reports of a stabbing. At the scene, they found a 30-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. He was rushed to the hospital with injuries that might be life-threatening.

After the incident, the suspect departed in a vehicle, which was later spotted on Wyse Road. The vehicle evaded police and ended up crashing in Chelsea Probert Park. The driver was hospitalized, but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

At present, police are stationed at both sites as the investigation unfolds. More details will be shared as they become available.
