Man stabbed at Scotia Square bus terminal

Police are currently on scene in the 1000 block of Barrington Street, Halifax for what has been reported as a male stabbed.


Onscene, police located the victim, a male in his 40’s with an injury consistent with being stabbed with an edged weapon.


The victim has been transported to the QE2 hospital for injuries that are not known in terms of severity at this point.


There is no immediate threat to the general public nor any safety concerns.  General vehicular traffic has not been re routed, but portions of the sidewalk and general area closed to pedestrians until further notice for scene processing.

There only description of the suspect at this time is a white male believed to be in his early to mid 40’s.


The investigation is in its early stages. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area to call 902-490-5020.
