Man stabbed during robbery in Halifax

On August 7/2017- 340 pm, HRP patrol mem­bers responded to a robbery involving a knife at a residence in the 1000 block of South Park St. Hal­ifax. Upon arrival, police learned that the suspect, an 18 year old male,  had fled the victim’s res­idence on foot leavi­ng the 62 year old male victim injured with stab wounds. The victim, who was rob­bed of some personal items, was taken to hospital with serio­us but non life thre­atening injuries. The suspect was located and arrested a sho­rt time later by beat officers in the Go­ttingen St area . The victim and suspect are known to one an­other. The investiga­tion has been taken over by GIS(General Investigative Sectio­n) and is ongoing at this time. The susp­ect is still in cust­ody and is expected to be charged with robbery, aggravated assault and weapons related offences.
