Man stabbed in home

At approximately 6:20 P.M. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to an unknown trouble call at an apartment located on Nivens Ave in Dartmouth.  While enroute to this call another call was received from Emergency Health Services that a 36 year old man had arrived at their Jamieson St. depot with a stab wound to his arm. The man informed EHS that he had been stabbed at this same address on Nivens Ave by a woman who was known to him. The man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police attended the address on Nivens Ave. and a 28 year old woman was taken in to custody without incident. 

The woman will be appearing this morning in Dartmouth court to face charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon and violation of court orders.
