Man stabbed on Salter Street Downtown

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred earlier tonight in Halifax.

At approximately 11:31 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report that a man had been stabbed in the 5000 block of Salter Street in Halifax. Officers located a 21-year-old victim the suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital for treatment.

Officers arrested two men, ages 20 and 21, a short distance away from the scene.

This investigation is in the early stages, investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating the incident.
