Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a stabbing that occurred yesterday in Halifax.
At 12 p.m., officers responded to the 5000-block of Corwallis Street to a report that a man had been stabbed. Police arrived to find a 60-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. The victim had been stabbed in the 6000-block of Cunard Street by someone believed to be known to him. He had a quantity of prescription drugs and money taken from him. He was transported to hospital by EHS with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a white man with dirty blonde hair, wearing dark baggy clothes, a dark green baseball cap and three dog choke-chains around his neck.
