A man was swept off rocks at Peggy's Cove around 6pm tonight. Police say that the man was watching the waves with a group of onlookers, all of which are safe.
Reports also say that two policemen who were involved in the search for the man were also thrown into the water and taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The Coast Guard is currently searching the area, but weather conditions are hampering the effort significantly.
