Man wearing “Coca-Cola” gloves robs convenience store

HRP release:

On December 7 at approximately 7:25 p.m., officers responded to a robbery in progress at the Needs Convenience store, located at 5881 Duffus Street in Halifax. A man had entered the store, went up to the counter and opened the cigarette drawer. At that time, the employee was able to exit the store safely, without further incident. The man exited the store shortly after with a quantity of cigarettes and fled the area on foot. The employee was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 180lbs, 5’10” tall, between 35 to 45-years-old with a stocky build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black balaclava, a black coat, grey sweatpants, black sneakers and red gloves with a Coca Cola logo printed in white.  He was also carrying a grey backpack.
