Exciting news: Marc Anthony has entered the body care market with 3 Exotic collections. Despite being new, these products are some kind of awesome!
The “Exotic” part in the name refers to the scents.
These products smell amazing to me, but if you are sensitive to scents, they might not be for you.
Each line has 5 products:
– hand cream (3.4oz/ 100ml) $4.99
– sulfate-free body wash (16.9oz/ 500ml) $8.99
– body lotion (16.9oz/ 500ml) and dry body oil (4.05oz/ 120ml), $9.99 each, and
– body butter (6.8oz/ 200ml) $10.99.
I received all 5 across the 3 lines to test out and it has been a very pleasant experience.
First off is the Hydrating Coconut oil and Shea butter collection with the yellow/ orange packaging. The formula includes tropical coconut oil, chamomile, white tea and shea butter to moisturize and restore dry skin.
The Extra Nourishing hand cream has been a hit between me and Squirt. It smells like a cocktail (pina colada comes to mind) or the coconut treat type of scent.
We love a whiff of this scent on the hands in the morning, it keeps us going. And since we like the scent, we remember to apply the hand cream more often.
Absorption is quite instant, so no wait time, and the moisturization is great until the next time I have to wash my hand. Win win!
Ingredients: Water, Glycol Stearate, Stearic Acid, Capric/ Caprylic Triglyceride, PEG 100 Stearate, Cyclomethicone, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera oil, Dimethicone, etc.
The body wash is an extended indulgence of the hand cream, to put it simply. The scent over your body might be more overwhelming than when it’s only on your hands, so make sure to sniff test first.
The product can also be added directly to running water for a spa bath soak, which I prefer when I have time to relax.
Ingredients: Water, Sodim 14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Polyquatemium-7, Cocamide MEA, Glycol Stearate, Sodium Chloride, etc.
This beautiful aqua bottle of Hydrating body lotion is from the Oil of Morocco Argan oil collection. Argan oil, aloe vera, shea butter and vitamin E nourish and restore dry, tired skin.
I adore this scent the most among all 3. It is lightly floral and fresh, like the morning air. It makes falling asleep a lot easier for me. The lotion texture is nice for summer, might be a little light for winter.
Ingredients: Water, Capric/ Caprylic Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 100 Stearate, Stearic Acid, Cyclomethicone, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Alcohol, Argania Spinosa Kernel oil, Dimethicone, etc.
And lastly, the Healing Macadamia oil Extra nourishing collection helps to keep moisture in your skin and protect it from further damage, thanks to macadamia oil, hibiscus, green tea and vitamin E.
The dry body oil is light weight, easy to spread out and disappear almost instantly.
The pump sprays out a decent amount of oil, I quite enjoy this less messy method. And it is not hard at all to just go to town with this bottle 🙂
The scent also imitates a cocktail, with just a bit more pineapple, not nutty though 🙂 It fades faster than the other 2 scents on me.
Ingredients: Isopropyl Palmitate, Cyclohexasiloxane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) seed oil, Macadamia Ternifolia seed oi, Olea Europaea (Olive) fruit oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) butter, etc.
The Deep Moisture body butter is naturally a step up from the lotion I mentioned above, in terms of the creamy luxurious feel and moisturization effect. Another indulgence in a tub 🙂
Ingredients: Water, Cocos Nucifera oil, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Capric/ Caprylic Triglyceride, Polysorbate 60, Glycerin, PEG 100 Stearate, Glycerin Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) butter, etc.
Overalll, the 3 lines offer similar level of moisturization to me, so it will boil down to the type of product and scent preferences. If I have to pick one favorite product, it would be the dry body oil with the Oil of Morocco Argan oil scent. Available now at Walmart.
