March is Fraud Prevention Month

March is Fraud Prevention Month #FPM2017! Protect yourself from fraudsters and scams. Here’s a few helpful tips to keep in mind:

– Don’t be afraid to request further documentation from a caller or person at your door so you can verify the validity of the company.
– Never open your door to strangers, no matter how official a person may appear. Speak through a closed door and call companies to verify the identity of sales and service people.
– If you ever feel your safety is at risk phone 9-1-1.
