At 3:00 pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a residence in the 0-100 block of Brule Street in Dartmouth for an unknown trouble call. When officers arrived it was learned that two masked men with a firearm attempted to enter the residence. A struggle ensued and one of the suspects struck a resident in the head with the end of the gun. The suspects fled without getting into the residence. The male victim did not require any medical attention. Members of the Integrated General Investigation and Forensic Identification Section attended and the investigation is continuing.
