Meadowbrook Drive to get new curb and gutter

meadowbrook-map-smThe Halifax Regional Municipality’s approved 2009/10 Capital Budget provides for the pavement resurfacing of Meadowbrook Drive from the Bedford Highway to Sunrise Hill and new concrete curb and gutter on the south side of Meadowbrook Drive from Pleasant Street to Sunrise Hill.

The proposed work may result in adjustments to driveways and some lawn slopes, but it is anticipated that the majority of the work will be limited to HRM’s right-of-way.

It is our intention to complete the work during the 2009 construction season.

All efforts will be taken to minimize disruptions to your property during construction and a follow-up notice will be sent to all property owners prior to the commencement of the project.

Please contact Alex Quinn, HRM Design Engineer, at 490-6900 if you have any questions, or if you are aware of any problems.

Bedford residents play a carnival game during the opening night of Bedford Days at DeWolf Park. Events at the park drew a good crowd, however, celebrations were tempered a little with the announcement that the fireworks show would be cancelled because of fog. The fireworks that would have been used on Thursday will be added to the Canada Day fireworks show on July 1.
