Media Advisory Opening of brand new Beach Volleyball Park in HRM

Wednesday, July 17, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – Volleyball Nova Scotia will officially open its brand new Beach Volleyball Park on Friday, July 19 at 10 a.m.

The park is made up of 12 beach volleyball courts and is a joint project of Volleyball Nova Scotia, Halifax Regional Municipality and the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness. Mayor Savage will be in attendance along with David Swetnam, President Volleyball Nova Scotia, Michelle Aucoin, Executive Director of Volleyball Nova Scotia, representatives from Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, the Canada Games Beach Volleyball team and youth volleyball players enjoying the new courts.

: 10 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 : Beach Volleyball Park, 261 Commodore Drive, Burnside Industrial Park, Dartmouth.

The multi court facility will provide summer programs to the public promoting the development of Beach Volleyball in Nova Scotia and provide a facility to hold tournaments. Come out and see why beach volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
