The Halifax District Stetsons and Spurs Youth Group will host a bi-annual bicycle auction to raise money for the youth group programs in Cole Harbour, Preston and Lower Sackville.
The Stetsons and Spurs program is made up of youths grade 7-12 who assist their local communities. The program is designed to expose youth to policing while building relationships between youth and the RCMP. Youth participate in drill, parades, youth police camp and have an opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills.
Over 65 used bicycles of various makes and models will be auctioned off, including kids, youth and adult bicycles that have never been claimed by the owners.
When: Saturday, May 27, 10 a.m. – Registration at 9:30 a.m.
Where: Mic Mac Mall
Event details: The event will take place in the parking lot overlooking Hwy 111 at the Mic Mac Mall and will take place rain or shine. This is a cash-only event and bicycles must be picked up once purchased.
