Scrums! Rucks! Mauls! Score a try! Halifax District RCMP are kicking and grounding it through the goal lines this year by hosting a one-day TrySport rugby clinic on Tuesday, August 18 and media are invited to attend from 11:30 a.m.
to 12:00 p.m.
In 2011, the North Preston Community Office developed TrySport, a program that introduces Preston youth to sports not traditionally played within the community. This year, TrySport is providing a one-day rugby clinic for youth between the ages of five and 15 at the Graham Creighton Junior High School field, 72 Cherrybrook Road. Representatives from Halifax District RCMP, TrySport clinic partners and youth participants will be available to speak with media.
The TrySport rugby clinic was organized in partnership with Rubgy Nova Scotia, volunteer coaches, and many community volunteers.
