Meeting will determine training programs offered to Spryfield businesses

This came from the Spryfield and District Business Commission. The second meeting is tonight at 6:30. The department of labour and advanced education will offer free training courses to employees at businesses in the Spryfield area, but it wants to know what kind of training is needed.
This could be “anything from social media training to introduction to computers to marketing for business to coaching and mentoring.” Tell them tonight.

Have your say what training you would like to see provided for your employees (at no cost to you). There are still a few spots open for the focus group meetings (Tuesday, August 20th, 10:00a.m. and Wednesday, August 21st, 6:30p.m. at the Captain Spry Community Centre, please consider attending one of these sessions). The type of training programs that will be offered will be determined from the input given by you at the focus groups and we need to fill the spots in these focus groups to show the Department of Labour and Advanced Education we want this training put on in Spryfield for the employees of the businesses in Spryfield.

These training programs are valued at $5000.00 per person and will run once a week for thirteen weeks, the total cost for the trainers and the location will be paid for by the Department of Labour and Advanced Education.
